Night Fell And It Was Time.....

Yes, night fell and it was time...time to bring out the snowblower for the first time this year. There is always a little bit of uncertainty when you pull the cord for the first time.

WILL IT START? WILL IT START? WILL IT START?

I have to say that Tom was a trooper and solved the problem of the defiant snowblower and ultimately won over the machine. All it needed was a little squirt of ether in the combustion chamber and voila!! It was off and runnng and we have a clear driveway until morning. Thank you Tom!

Hi Judy.
Ohhh I am so jealous you have that much snow. We have none as always grrrrrrr.
I have enjoyed looking at your winter pics and reading such a wonderful blog.
Many thanks for you comment on my diary.
Kind regards.
Boatwoman.

I'm hoping that we'll have a snowless winter. Mostly because I drive an hour and a half p into the mountains three times a week. And driving mountain roads in snow and ice is not my idea of fun.

The picture of Dad just standing and staring as he ponders his next move is great.

hi boatwoman..thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment..it is one of the funnest parts of doing a blog..getting comments and meeting new people and seeing the world from your recliner..I would be so interested in knowing what you decide about a book..

I hope you have a snowless winter too ad..snow would make your drive all the more mentally, emotionally and physcially taxing..and I love the pics of dad and didn't plan this sequence when I took them..it just all turned out...life is good...glad you enjoyed them...

Hi Judy.
It is funny because I had no problem in writing my poetry books and putting them together, but to put ones life story into a book is way harder. I guess I will have to be in the right frame of mind to do so.

I know what you mean boatwoman..my mission in part was to communicate how I felt about my work..how I do my job..and I had the same problem...so I think I just started..somewhere I will write down the beginning sentences for you...it is pretty simple..straight from the heart..I combined so many things in my life..my work..my mom's death..just the things I think about..I am patiently waiting for your time to come..

Judy.
Many thanks for your encouragement.
There is so much I have to write about, and I know some of it will be painful to recall, but it may just help me get it all out of my system.
I have already decided that I am going to do it and that is certain. There can be no more putting it off lol.
Once again many thanks.
Kind regards Jo

We call our snowblower Christopher. Sometimes it's hard to get ours started too! (ha!) But not this weekend. This weekend he shoveled the driveway and the sidewalk TWICE - the second time he volunteered so Josh didn't have to do it. I have good kids!

haha kara....that is very cute..I can just see him out there shoveling away...I think it was two years ago Christopher helped dad take the Christmas lights down and it was just so nice..he is a good boy..and you do have good kids..

Ok, did Dad fix the snowblower before or after he shoveled??

kara..he really only shoveled for a minute..I think he was thinking things through..then he went to the store and got the ether and came home and got it going..I think that is how it happened..but glad I made you think .. funny huh?
